An article published by ITHome suggests that upcoming models of the Huawei Mate 60 may incorporate power amplifier chips in order to support satellite voice calling. According to the report, these PA chips contribute to the process of enhancing the signal that is generated by the communication integrated circuit so that it can be fed to an antenna. This amplification method is necessary for successful satellite communication in all its forms, including voice communication.
The PA chips that are rumored to be present in the Huawei Mate 60 series were reportedly developed by a Chinese chipmaker who shall remain nameless, according to reports. The name of this chipmaker shall not be used. It is possible for the Huawei Mate 60 phones to make voice calls over a satellite connection even when there is no network connection present; however, this capability has not been verified. Previous rumors have suggested that the upcoming lineup will be powered by a system-on-chip (SoC) manufactured by Qualcomm and given the codename SM8525.
