Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 Has Achieved TDRA Certification, Bringing It One Step Closer To Its Global Launch:
The first Redmi Pad was released in October of last year and featured an IPS LCD screen and the Helio G99 SoC. Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 rumors have started to surface as the company’s first tablet approaches its one-year anniversary. The upcoming slate has been discovered on a number of certification websites; the most recent additions are Safety Korea and China’s 3C. TDRA can now be added to the list.
The Redmi Pad 2 might be a reliable low-cost tablet:
The TDRA has approved the Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 under model number 23073RPBFG. As usual, the certification listing only included the model number and the manufacturer information, which in this case was Xiaomi. The certification, however, suggests that the Redmi Pad 2 is getting closer to its international release.
Despite the lack of official confirmation, reports indicate that the tablet will be released in China in August along with the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 foldable phone, and the Redmi K60 Ultra flagship. The release of MIX Fold 3 is scheduled for August 14, so the wait may not be too long.

According to other reports, the upcoming tablet from Redmi will have a 10-inch or so IPS LCD screen with 2K resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. According to Geekbench, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 680 chipset and LPDDR4x RAM. An 8,000mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging may power the tablet.
